Some metal items not recyclable include foil tops from food containers (e.g. Yogurt), paint cans, and any small pieces of scrap metal that clog the recycling machinery. Also, can tops cut with a can opener as they are dangerous to the recycling facility workers. However, clean aluminum foil, cans, metal lids, and pots and pans that aren’t non-stick are recyclable.
